Academics
Courses are organized for Grades 7–9 and Grades 10–12. Chinese is the main language of instruction and English is taught as a subject. Courses, periods, and class arrangements follow the semester timetable.
GRADES 7–9
Junior secondary courses
Junior secondary courses follow the student’s grade. Physics begins in Grade 8 and chemistry in Grade 9. PE, arts, labor education, and integrated practice are included in grade plans.
Grade 8
Physics is added to Grade 7 subject areas, alongside languages, humanities, Biology, PE, arts, technology, labor, and integrated practice.
Grade 9
Chinese, Mathematics, English, Morality and Law, History, Physics, Chemistry, and grade-scheduled PE, arts, and integrated practice.
Course notes
Geography, Biology, and other subjects follow the grade plan. Admissions or academic services explains weekly periods from the current timetable.
GRADES 10–12
Senior secondary courses
Senior secondary plans cover common foundations, humanities and social sciences, sciences, technology, PE, arts, and integrated practice.
Languages & mathematics
Chinese, Mathematics, and a foreign language.
Humanities & society
Politics, History, and Geography.
Sciences
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Integrated courses
Information Technology, General Technology, PE and Health, Music, Fine Arts, and Integrated Practice.
COURSE DELIVERY
Lessons, assignments, practice, and feedback
Semester timetables identify courses and teaching arrangements. Learning may include written work, laboratory inquiry, projects, or practical tasks, supported by marking, review, and periodic feedback.
